In 1962, the Belgian army transferred 480 to the Gendarmerie. The Minervas were used alongside the approximately 500 original Land Rover Series 1. After the transfer, the Minervas were given a blue color, a blue lamp on the window and a siren that could be turned on by the co-driver by means of a pedal pedal. Furthermore, the Minerva was equipped with a reinforced bumper to be able to push away cars in the event of a collision. There was also a bonnet lock and the door handles were replaced with a Series door handle. The Minervas were used by the Gendarmerie until about 1973<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to a Rijkswacht Minerva, Heritage 4 \u00d7 4 also has two fire brigade Minervas from a military airport. These are Minerva&#039;s only known fire department remaining. 1 prototype and 22 production units were made of the Minerva fire brigade. The Minerva fire brigade was the fire brigade commander&#039;s car at the air force&#039;s military airfield. The cars were equipped with CO2 bottles on the front bumper, Ceagol poder bottles on the right rear. Furthermore, the car often had one or two fire shovels for grass fires on the roof rack and a ladder to hang from F86 planes to get to the cockpit. The Minervas Fire Department are the only closed cars Minerva has built on a Land Rover Series 1 base. The fire engines were first red, later the cars were often painted in camouflage colors.
